Apple Macs

All Apple Macs made after 2017 are compatible

Apple Macs made after 2017 connect effortlessly to espresso displays using the included USB-C cable and are compatible with espresso touch models after installing espresso Flow.

Older Mac models can still function as a second screen, without touch, but may require a mini Display Port cable for use with the legacy Thunderbolt port on your Mac. Be sure to check compatibility to see which cable you’ll need.

For iPad and iPhone, see information below.

Windows

Almost all Windows laptops with a USB-C port will be compatible

Most Windows laptops with a USB-C port are compatible with espresso displays right out of the box, where marked with the Thunderbolt or DisplayPort symbols (see information below). For older models or those without USB-C, additional cables may be needed, and some features may be limited.

Windows 10 and 11 devices support full touchscreen functionality with espresso displays, giving you a seamless interactive experience.
Most laptops made after 2018 have a USB-C port that supports espresso displays without extra power. On Mac, the Touchscreen requires espressoFlow software.
If your laptop lacks USB-C or doesn’t support display output, an adapter (sold separately) is required.
Compatible USB-C Ports
Not all USB-C ports support power and display—some only handle data or charging. Check if your USB-C port supports display output for compatibility.

Multi-Screen Set-ups

espresso displays can be used in multi-screen setups, whether alongside a larger monitor or with multiple espresso displays. However, support for multiple displays depends on your device’s ability to output to more than one screen. Be sure to check your device’s specifications to confirm compatibility.
